Creek to Bay Day
This citywide day of environmental volunteerism celebrates community action to protect our creeks, coast and ocean. No matter where you're participating, you are helping to protect our waterways and watershed!
In partnership with the California Coastal Commission, Oakland Public Works' Environmental Stewardship Team is celebrating Oakland's 31st Annual Creek to Bay Day. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the California Coastal Act, the landmark law that has protected our coastline and waterways for half a century. Join us at Creek to Bay Day to celebrate this milestone and kick off the next 50 years of protection.
We will pick up litter, mulch, and clean out the drain at the bottom of the hill to prepare for the upcoming weather!
This will replace our end of the month cleanup for September.
Jungle Hill Monthly Cleanup!
We will be cleaning Jungle Hill on the last Saturday of each month.
Come meet your neighbors and help take care of our little piece of nature. Let’s make the world a more beautiful place, one bit at a time.
Just bring a hat, drinking water, and gloves (if you have them).
National Night Out Block Party
National Night Out is a nation-wide annual event designed to strengthen neighborhood spirit and unity.
We will be celebrating at the top of Jungle Hill (2216 Ransom Ave., Oakland, CA 94601). Get together with friends, family, and neighbors to celebrate our community! Come and enjoy some potluck food, live music, and see some cool cars from the neighborhood!
Bring a dish to share, a chair to hang out, and your community spirit!

Creek to Bay Day
Volunteers of all ages and abilities are invited to join Oakland Creek to Bay Day projects to clean and green Oakland's creeks, shorelines, parks, and neighborhoods. Projects include trash removal, habitat restoration, tree planting, and beautification.
The 30th annual Oakland Creek to Bay Day is part of California and International Coastal Cleanup Day. By participating, you'll not only make a positive impact on our community but also help protect our creeks, bay, ocean, and beaches.
To celebrate 30 years of Creek to Bay day we will be planting 30 native trees, plants and shrubs.
Jungle Hill Cleanup
Roll up your sleeves and come get your hands in the dirt!
Every 1st & 3rd Saturday from 9–11am, we come together to clean up trash, pull weeds, lay down mulch, and plant native plants at Jungle Hill.
No experience needed—just bring water, gloves (if you have them), and your community spirit!
